Los Indignados Perform Dayglo Flamenco

Watch Spain’s Los Indignados perform Dayglo Flamenco to protest against  youth unemployment and the government’s austerity programme. Such unorthodox forms of protest have become popular within the dissatisfied Indignados:

“In Seville, a flash mob of flamenco dancers regularly turn up outside a branch of BBVA to lampoon bankers in dance and song (see video above). Further north, in Galicia, 50 men dressed in prison outfits recently marched into a bank shouting slogans against costly state bailouts for the country’s banks.”

Although the workers will have to pay for the bailout instead of the banks, they show their frustration in creative ways of protesting, which are sometimes amusing and uplifting like the Flamenco.
