The young Austrian photographers Arnold Pöschl and Hans Hochstöger in their project “Gezi Park Protestors” portrait protestors from Istanbul. They believe that they are people of the same generation and a similar way of thinking like themselves participating in the protests. With their work they want to show the faces behind the protestors, share their ideas with the Western world and help bringing awareness to their issues. The two photographers think that they have to be grateful for what those people are fighting for in Istanbul’s Gezi Park: democracy, self-determination and an open-minded thinking. „Everywhere taksim, everywhere resistance!“
