Carlos Ernesto Mondada Banda was born in Argentina in the region of Jujuy, close to the Bolivian border. In 1977 he came to Spain where he has lived since then. He is divorced and has a daughter. Before Ernesto retired, he worked as a craftsman and manufactured jewellery from metal. He was also a writer. Nowadays, he fully dedicates himself to the Movimiento 15-M. He is a member of the “Vivienda” (housing) commission as well as the work group “Ocupación” (occupation).
