Nenad Duda Petrović is a graphic designer born in Belgrad. While studying at university he created the logo design for the Serbian resistance group “Otpor!”: The clenched fist became the symbol for peaceful nonviolent movements and is till this day recognized as a clearly defined signal. Petrović—also Srdja Popovic´s friend and companion—further developed the symbol for CANVAS. It was embedded into a triangle made from arrows – today´s international sign for recycling and reutilization.
