Alex Dende aka Lexxus Légal is one of the Hip-Hop pioneers from Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo). He is one of the founders of the band PNB – Pensée Nègre Brute / Raw Nigger Thought and believes in the power of music and culture for bringing about social and political change.

Lexxus Légal sings about the political and social situation in his country of origin, about HIV/AIDS, against violence and intolerance. Other issues raised in his songs are borders in general and the “art of peace”, as he puts it. Dende is also an organizing member of the “Mimi Sud”, the “Cœur d’Afrique” and the “Racine Alternative” festivals.
